And when Samson Dingle’s sentence was made public, the soap opera showed his departure.
Fans of EMMERDALE have taken aim at the young mother for siding with her child’s biological father instead of their actual “father figure”.
In tonight’s Emmerdale episode, Amelia Spencer confided in Charity Dingle that she worries about her daughter Esther not having her dad around because of Samson Dingle’s punishment.
Sitting directly behind Amelia, Noah Dingle said, “I’ve always tried to be a parent to her. I’m not going anywhere.
Amelia answered, “Yes, but Samson is her real dad.” She will now only be able to see him on her trips to the jail.”
“I still don’t think you should take her to prison,” Noah remarked. If she has me, she doesn’t need him.”
A short while later, Lydia entered The Woolpack to confirm Samson’s departure from the ITV soap opera by announcing his four-year sentence.
When Amelia realized that Esther would have begun school by the time Samson was released from jail, she became enraged.
Noah made an effort to comfort her in the interim, saying, “You and I can still provide her with a happy life. I swear.”
However, it seemed like Amelia would have none of Noah’s attempts to cheer her up.
When Amelia subsequently learned that Noah had called the police on Samson’s behalf after seeing his phone’s call list to place an order for takeout, her already bad attitude only became worse.
Saying, “You grassed on Samson didn’t you,” she went up to him.
Samson is dangerous and should be kept off the streets, Noah said.
A furious Amelia said that Noah just cared about getting rid of Samson and had no regard for justice.
“Well, he’s given me enough reason, hasn’t he?” a furious Noah said. Remember how he blackmailed me, please? How did he say he could take you at any time?
“I can take care of Esther and you. Far superior than anything he can do.”
He was told to leave by Amelia, who declared that she had “heard enough”.
Is Amelia able to pardon Noah?
The way Amelia treated Noah infuriated viewers, who called her “ungrateful.”
One person posted on X, now known as Twitter, saying, “I just watched #Emmerdale tonight, and all I can say is that Amelia is making me angry! She is a really resentful b***h.
“Amelia is such a horrible girl,” someone else commented. While watching Samson’s undesired child, Noah has stood by her; nonetheless, Amelia treats him like trash.
“She has zero taste in men, and her daughter would be much better off forgetting Samson and focus on Noah as a father figure.”
