EastEnders Star Announces Major Comeback for 40th Anniversary: ‘I Was Very Surprised’

Over the last 18 months, EastEnders has brought back a plethora of legendary characters, but it appears that more reunions are in store as the program marks its 40th anniversary.

Fans of EastEnders have been treated to the homecoming of Jane Beale (Laurie Brett) and the news that David Wicks (Michael French) will be returning to Albert Square only in the past few weeks.

However, as actor Matt Di Angelo disclosed, there are even more surprises in store.

He stated to The Mirror, “I was very surprised that they would come back. I know quite a bit, and I can’t tell you exactly who.”

The news of David Wicks’ comeback has been made public, but who else is coming soon?

Who may that be?

Last year, the Dean Wicks actor shocked everyone by making a surprise comeback to the program as Cindy and Ian Beale’s (Michelle Collins and Adam Woodyatt) covert business partner.

He has shown himself to be just as nasty as he always was throughout his present tenure, interfering with daughter Jade Masood’s (Elizabeth Green) medicine to make sure she was too ill to leave him and relocate to Pakistan.

Dean changed Jade’s prescription drug.

After being set up by The Six, he is currently incarcerated and awaiting trial for the murder of Danny Walters’ character, Keanu Taylor.

After Keanu was fatally killed on Christmas Day 2023 by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) to protect her closest friend Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), the ladies saw a chance to permanently remove the evil Dean from their lives.

In the next scenes, Linda receives an unexpected guest.

A trial is underway. We’ve already videotaped the trial, so I am aware of the outcome. The Sun was previously informed by Matt Di Angelo, “I can tell you, but I won’t because it would ruin the television!”

In later moments, Dean would do everything in his power to frighten Linda and prevent her from testifying in court.

She will get a visit this week from one of Dean’s contacts, who will entice her with an enticing offer. Will she accept it?
