Legendary Emmerdale star Hayley Tamaddon has stated she would “in a heartbeat” return to the ITV soap opera in response to “so many messages” from fans who are presently binge-watching older episodes.

From 2005 until 2007, Hayley portrayed Delilah Dingle in the Yorkshire-based soap opera, which included a number of noteworthy storylines.

After calling off her engagement to fiancé Jay, with whom she eventually broke up, Delilah made a splash when she arrived in the Emmerdale hamlet.

Before falling in love with Carl King (Tom Lister), Delilah started working as a dressmaker for Val and Eric Pollard (Charlie Hardwick and Chris Chittell) when she was living in the hamlet.

Hayley performed as Delilah Dingle between 2005 and 2007.

Delilah helped him win her back after realizing he was still in love with her cousin Chas (Lucy Pargeter), and then they moved on to David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden).

She left the village with £20,000 after betraying David as part of a scheme to steal from Eric, according to her exit from the show.

Fans of Hayley’s character on ITV’s reruns of the original Emmerdale are curious as to whether she will ever take on the role again.

In response to one of these messages on her Instagram story, Hayley said she would be happy to take on the job again.

Many of Hayley’s admirers had posed the same query.

“My inbox is filled with so many messages like this!” Ahh, I would definitely come back,’ she wrote.

This program marked the beginning of my TV career. I owe it a great deal. She said, “Happy memories of Delilah Dingle.”

Following her time on Emmerdale, Hayley portrayed Andrea Beckett on Coronation Street, a rival soap opera, from 2013 until 2015.

She has also had success in the theater, where she has portrayed characters like Miss Hedge in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and Roxie Hart in Chicago.
