Emmerdale Legend Thrilled to Reclaim Her Job

There was a lot of backlash from Matty Barton’s (Ash Palmisciano) stabbing of Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) in Emmerdale. While most Dingles supported Samson for his alleged trauma, Matty’s close family members believed that Matty couldn’t have attacked someone with a knife.

When Matty claimed that he had only been holding a knife when Samson’s friend Josh (Osian Morgan) pushed him toward him, as the two boys caused trouble in the Hide, his mother Moira (Natalie J. Robb), his wife Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson), and his mother-in-law Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) knew that he was telling the truth.

While an innocent Matty was being held in custody and placed on remand, his supporters made every effort to persuade Samson and Josh to come clean.

She is resolute.

Working at the Woolpack at the time, Kerry Wyatt devised a typically Kerry scheme to lure Josh into making a confession. After pouring Josh a pint, she began to flirt with him, recording the exchange on her phone.

As Josh was prepared to divulge the truth about what actually transpired at the Hide after Samson was stabbed, the plan was coming together, but just then Charity (Emma Atkins) and Samson entered. Samson informed Josh that Kerry’s plan had failed and that he was speaking with Matty’s mother-in-law.

Charity was even more upset with her for resorting to such measures. By then Charity and the other Dingles had come to the conclusion that Matty had been the innocent victim.

Kerry then ordered Charity to pick between her and Samson, stating that she couldn’t work with him. Charity unexpectedly selected Samson, and Kerry was caught off guard.

Kerry lost her job because Charity favored Samson over her.

Kerry hasn’t said much since then, although she plans to return to her profession in future episodes. She thinks that Charity will see that she did nothing wrong now that the truth about Samson’s lying about the stabbing event is out and he faces prison time for it.

She rationally determines that it would be best to contact Charity indirectly, so she first speaks with Chas (Lucy Pargeter) in the hopes that Chas can persuade Charity to grant her another chance to work behind the bar at the Wooly.

Is Charity going to concur?
