Emmerdale Star Louise Jameson Hints at Mary Goskirk’s Age-Gap Romance: ‘I Think They’re a Good Match’

Is romance between Mary and Suzy possible after all?

Fans of Emmerdale are still waiting to see how the love triangle involving Mary (Louise Jameson), Suzy (Martelle Edinborough), and Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) plays out.

The budding connection between Suzy and Mary came to an end when Vanessa returned to the scene and revived her infatuation with Suzy. Could their passion, nonetheless, be reignited?

Regarding her future stories, Jameson stated the following in an interview with The Mirror: “I’m not sure when, but there will be a love life plot! But they’re still holding this carrot out.

“As I already stated, I hope they avoid making her overly content and settled since it would eliminate all of the drama! I enjoy it when you let go of your composure and use your acting skills.”

Is a happy ending for Mary unlikely to occur very soon, then?

Jameson responded to the notion that Mary, Suzy, and Vanessa may be in a romantic triangle by saying, “Maybe a love triangle! She could end up dating Suzy; I’m not sure what’s going on just yet. They really seem like a nice fit.

In the real world, the age difference would scare me. It’s probably not a great idea if you’re old enough to be a mother. But since many individuals experience it, it must have something to do with people.”

Mary moved to the Dales and has been searching for “the one” ever since. Her quest for love in her older years was even nominated for an Inspiring Storyline of the Year award at the RadioTimes.com Soap Awards 2024, which is sponsored by Inspired Villages.

During the ceremony, Jameson expressed her opinion to RadioTimes.com exclusively, asking if she believed Mary will soon find true love. She responded, “Well, in a way I hope she doesn’t.”

“Because that’s all the drama taken out of her life once she does, isn’t that right?” she went on. Naturally, I want as much drama as I can as an actor. Therefore, I’m hoping that conflicts would arise one after the other.”
