The BBC soap opera EastEnders star Navin Chowdhry, who plays Nish Panesar, appears to have revealed a major plot surprise for his “vile” character.
Star of EastEnders Navin Chowdhry has hinted at a major development for his “vile” character Nish Panesar.
A few months earlier, when Navin came to the Square in the guise of Nish, he became entangled in a bitter dispute with his family, particularly his wife Suki Panesar. This culminated in an incredible Christmas scene in which Nish narrowly avoided death in a gunfight with Suki over her intention to depart with Eve. After going missing for a spell, Nish reappeared shortly after with some “bad” news for his family.
Nish wanted to get back in touch with his family since he said he was terminally sick and only had a few months to live. A doctor later verified that he is sick and would pass away, even though most people thought it was a fake. Even though Navin acknowledged that he enjoyed the twist, it appears that he may have been lying about his actual condition and that there was “lots to come”.
Regarding the upcoming events, he said exclusively to The Mirror: “I find them to be exciting.” Nobody ever anticipated a character like him, in my opinion, since you’re always wondering who he’s going to hurt more. It struck me as a beautiful turn of events that he would return to be the one in need of his family, hurting and defenseless. I was giddy. There will be more stories in the future.
It follows the announcement that Laila Rouass’s new character Ayesha, who would emerge in Walford and have ties to both Suki and Nish, will be revealed. But why is Ayesha there, and how is she related to the Panesar family?
Regarding her new position, she declared: “I’m ecstatic to be a part of EastEnders! There was a lot of excitement when the program debuted, and I was raised on the East End. I remember the first episode very well, even though I was very little, with Doctor Legg showing up at the apartment where Reg Cox had been killed.
As Ayesha reunites with the Panesars, it was wonderful to work with Navin Chowdhry (Nish Panesar) once more and to film sequences with Balvinder Sopal (Suki Panesar) and the other Panesars. A lifetime desire has come true with this.”
