Mandy Dingle, a beloved character on Emmerdale, will be devastated when her secret profession is exposed next week, putting her marriage to Paddy Kirk in risk. Will she be able to save their nuptials?
Next week’s intense scenes on the popular ITV soap opera Emmerdale will center around the uncertain future of Mandy Dingle and Paddy Kirk’s marriage.
This week’s scenes will show Mandy taking drastic steps to pay off her large debts. It was just recently made public that Mandy is having financial difficulties and has been keeping the truth from everyone close to her. As viewers will remember, Mandy is the owner of Pampa Manda, the village’s beauty shop where Amelia Spencer works.
But it didn’t seem to be going well for Mandy in the most recent episodes, as she confided in Rhona Goskirk—with whom she had lately formed a strong friendship—about her money difficulties and her tendency to avoid paying for items in the hamlet. This week’s leaks indicate that Mandy is really concerned about money because of her upcoming honeymoon. She creates ‘Madame Diamante Dales’ in a desperate attempt to become a wealthy dominatrix.
When Tracy Metcalfe confronts Mandy the next week when she’s mid-findomination, the latter explains the safety precautions she’s taking. Mandy is overjoyed when Amelia gives her a karaoke headset and plans an unexpected hen party for her later in the week.
But before Mandy can get out to her hen celebration, she needs to manage another findom customer and her father-in-law Bear at the salon. Mandy needs to take a call with a findom customer, so she gives Amelia Bear’s beard trim appointment.
Bear is startled to hear Mandy’s farewell call over the karaoke speakers while he is alone in the salon. Bear finds it difficult to gather himself after hearing Mandy’s call and is shaken by her deception. Meanwhile, he delivers some scathing remarks that unnerve an unaware Mandy.
Afterwards, Bear learns about findom and finds himself in an unpleasant predicament upon the arrival of Marlon Dingle and his son Paddy. Bear is undecided about telling his kid about the boys’ spontaneous stag do that they plan for Paddy. Mandy, meantime, is shocked when Bear questions her about her side project.
Bear is stunned by Mandy’s explanation, though, and he threatens to inform Paddy about her side business. Mandy decides to give up while she’s ahead after persuading Bear not to inform Paddy. However, Bear quickly becomes irritated upon hearing Paddy laud Mandy’s praises at the bar. Ready to spill the beans, he brings them to the rear room after receiving a notification on his phone.
Bear reveals himself as Mandy’s new customer, exposing her side project. Paddy is taken aback by the shocking revelation and questions whether or not to go with his marriage. When the big day finally arrives later in the week, Paddy says he doesn’t want to wed Mandy. Bear is happy with the choice, but Marlon continues to question whether he can persuade Paddy to reconsider.
Afterwards, while Mandy is wearing her wedding attire and she and Vinny are having a tender moment in the salon, Bear interrupts to ruin the moment by disclosing that he was Mandy’s caller and that Paddy now knows all about her personal life. Can Mandy save her wedding? She is heartbroken and runs to apologize to Paddy.
