Hearing that he will be staying in the village a little longer makes Victoria very happy.

As he exacts revenge on Aaron Dingle, the newcomer to Emmerdale is already creating enemies in the village.

Next week on the ITV soap opera, Oliver Farnmouth’s character John Sugden will be furious to learn that his truck has been taken from the garage and he knows exactly who is responsible.

When it becomes apparent that Mack is the one who took the van, Aaron is concerned, and the threatening John loses his composure when he sees the stolen van in a lake.

After his van is stolen, John exacts his retribution.

When Victoria reveals the van was John’s home, he swears retaliation, and Aaron and Mack are left feeling guilty.

John soon gives Aaron the impression that he’s interested, but when Aaron tries to kiss him, it’s obvious that John is playing a joke on him, which humiliates Aaron.

Mack tries to hit John to scare him out of the hamlet, but John’s cunning maneuvers stop him fast.

Mack and John become estranged from one other after Reeling Cain announces that he has offered John a job at the farm while he is in the village.

Aaron feels embarrassed after this.

John’s decision to remain in the village a little while longer pleases Victoria, and Chas urges Aaron to talk to her about John.

John is unnerved by Victoria’s questioning about his history, even if she is returning some army dog tags to him.

John’s continued distancing from her and Harry depresses her even more.

The former Coronation Street star hinted that John might be getting romantically involved.

When John separates himself from Victoria, Victoria feels hurt.

John’s sexual orientation has been verified, and there seems to be a suggestion of flirting with Aaron.

In an interview with Metro.co.uk, Oliver made a suggestion that ITV viewers would find his character intriguing right away.

He said: “We find out quite quickly that he’s got a military past, he’s openly gay.

“He does ruffle a few feathers, and he does kind of, you know, catch the eye of the odd person.”
